View mode
Within Directmailr there are a number of different view modes which help when editing your template.
Safety Lines
it is advised to ensure that the ’safety line’’ is selected, this is your bleed area and this is where the artwork will be cut. It is best to not have any content about 10mm from the inner edge of this safe area.
Grid Lines
You are able to add grid lines onto the template, this helps you align elements on the page. This is set to off as default.
Snap to items, page or safety lines
These options will ensure that any items added to the template will snap and align to either the items, page or safety lines when these options are turned on. All will be turned on as default. This helps to keep the design of the template consistent.
Preview Mode
Preview mode removes all of the above and shows the template without any guides, this is how the template will print. Please note you can see a full preview of the template once you select continue. There will also be the option to download a low-resolution PDF.
Zoom
You can choose to zoom in and out of the template if you wish to view an area in greater detail.
